The Best Breakfasts in Canggu?

Our new favourite breakfast spot in Bali. I Am Vegan Babe is an attractive cafe-style fully vegan eatery in Canggu, just a short scooter drive from Batu Bolong Beach. Built over two levels, the downstairs provides an inviting and intimate cafe environment with tropical green plants screening you from the world outside. Upstairs provides seating with views over the nearby rice fields. The menu is comprehensive, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner options to suit any taste. Our favourite meal here was undoubtedly their vegan take on a big breakfast; eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce and vegan bacon, mushrooms, baked (chickpea) beans, potatoes and greens. With a coffee and juice, it was only 90K plus tax. Definitely try out the breakfast if you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed. Circle Point Vegan Eatery – Jimbaran

Tasty Indonesian style food

We stumbled across this place by chance as we were returning to Sanur from a trip to Uluwatu Temple. Located near the Kantor Immigrasi in Jimbaran, it is a very accessible eatery if you are on the Bukit Peninsula. The interior is a modern minimalist design, which seems a somewhat unusual fit for the traditional, but very tasty, Indonesian food on offer. The comprehensive menu is fully vegan, with a range of appetisers, mains, including soups, sambals, rice and noodle dishes. There is also a burger option as well as a Vietnamese inspired Bahn Mi.   We did have to confirm with the staff if all meals were vegan, as dish names included Ayam (Chicken) and Ikan (Fish). We were assured that the meals were based on traditional recipes (hence the names) with vegan substitutes for the chicken/fish/etc. There was also a good range of cold drinks and juices. Prices were very reasonable with mains coming in at around 30k rupiah. Oh, and did we mention the fully vegan chocolate cake!!!! You can find Circle Point Vegan Eatery on Jalan Teges Gede II No.18, Jimbaran
